Do you want to invest in a new air conditioner for your home in Fayetteville, North Carolina? There are a lot of options out there, all of which come with different specs, energy efficiency ratings and more. We try to simplify your options by offering only top-of-the-line Carrier air conditioners. However, even sorting through these can get confusing. Here’s a closer look at the three main models that Carrier makes:

Comfort Air Conditioners

Carrier’s Comfort series of air conditioners are economical and affordable for the average homeowner. Therefore, if you’re on a budget and don’t need the latest technological features, the Comfort series is perfect for you. We currently offer four different Comfort models, including the Comfort 14 Central Air Conditioner 24ACC4.

The Comfort series has Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) ratings that range from 14 to 16. Generally, the higher the number, the less energy an AC unit uses to cool the air. While a range of 14 to 16 is at the lower end of the spectrum, it’s still far more efficient than an old unit.

As for sound, the majority of Comfort units are as quiet as 72 decibels. This is relatively quiet for the average person. But if background noise gets on your nerves, you might want to seek out a quieter unit.

Performance Air Conditioners

The Performance series of air conditioners offers a good mix of energy savings and current budget constraints. The low price tag makes it a good option for people who want to benefit from energy savings in the future but can’t shell out cash for a top-of-the-line unit at the moment. Think of these as a mid-tier option. We offer three Performance models, including the Performance™ 14 Compact Central Air Conditioner 24AHA4.

SEER ratings for Performance models range from 14 to 17 for noticeable savings on your energy bill. What’s more, select models can be as quiet as 68 decibels thanks to the compressor sound blanket and single-stage operation.

Infinity Air Conditioners

Finally, the Infinity series of air conditioners is the best Carrier has to offer. By investing in one of these systems, you’ll see an all-around mix of excellent performance, low sound and energy efficiency. We offer five options to satisfy your cooling needs, including the Infinity® 16 Central Air Conditioner 24ANB6.

One of the biggest differences between the Infinity and the other models is the SEER rating. Infinity systems have a base 16 SEER rating and go up to 21 SEER for maximum energy savings. A rating of 21 is the highest possible and means you’ll be saving the most money on your utility bill.

Infinity units are also a lot quieter, with select units getting as quiet as 56 decibels. This softer performance is due to a built-in compressor sound blanket and multi-stage compressor operation. Infinity units also offer superior humidity and temperature control thanks to the Infinity Touch control pad.

Which Air Conditioner is Right for You?

Comfort, Infinity, and Performance air conditioners are all great choices for your home. All of them come with a 10-year parts warranty when you register with the manufacturer, which provides peace of mind should anything ever go wrong. What’s more, all have earned an ENERGY STAR label, showcasing how much you’ll save in energy costs over the years.

Finally, all Carrier air conditioners use R-410a refrigerant as the main refrigerant rather than R-22, which scientists discovered is extremely harmful to the environment. Unlike R-22 refrigerant, R-410a is non-ozone depleting and chlorine-free to reduce your impact on air quality.
